  1. Overview of Utility Systems

The Utility systems at Nutribiz’s factory play a critical role in ensuring continuous, safe, and efficient dairy production. These systems include water supply, wastewater treatment, boiler systems, electrical systems, and other supporting utilities. Designed and operated to international standards, Nutribiz’s auxiliary systems not only meet production demands but also align with goals for sustainability, environmental protection, and operational cost optimization.

  2. Water Supply System

The water supply system is a cornerstone of maintaining product quality and factory hygiene.

    • High-Quality Water Source: Nutribiz uses water that meets food safety standards, processed through a state-of-the-art Reverse Osmosis (RO) system to remove impurities, heavy metals, and bacteria. The treated water complies with standards such as TCVN 6-1:2018 (clean water for domestic use).

    • Versatile Applications: The water is used for equipment cleaning (Cleaning-in-Place or CIP), cooling machinery, and as a component in milk production. The system is continuously monitored to ensure purity and stable flow.

    • Water Optimization: Nutribiz employs water reuse technology for non-critical processes, reducing water waste and supporting resource conservation.

  3. Wastewater Treatment System

Nutribiz’s wastewater treatment system is designed to comply with environmental regulations and minimize ecological impact.

    • Advanced Treatment Technology: Wastewater from production is collected and treated using anaerobic and aerobic biological processes, combined with Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) technology. This system removes up to 98% of organic and chemical pollutants.

    • Wastewater Reuse: A portion of treated wastewater meeting standards is reused for purposes like irrigation or cooling, contributing to Nutribiz’s sustainability strategy.

    • Quality Monitoring: Smart sensors and an in-house laboratory continuously analyze parameters such as COD, BOD, pH, and TSS to ensure the treated wastewater complies with QCVN 40:2011/BTNMT (Vietnam’s national technical regulation on industrial wastewater).

  4. Boiler System

The boiler system is essential for providing steam to support production and sanitation processes.

    • Modern Boiler Technology: Nutribiz uses biomass or natural gas-fired boilers, reducing carbon emissions compared to traditional oil-fired systems. The boilers are designed for high thermal efficiency, achieving 85-90%.

    • Steam Applications: Steam is utilized in processes such as UHT sterilization (140°C for 4 seconds), equipment cleaning, and heating storage tanks during milk production.

    • Maintenance and Safety: The boiler system is equipped with automated controls and sensors for pressure and temperature, ensuring safe operation. Regular maintenance programs are implemented to maintain performance and extend equipment lifespan.

  5. Other Supporting Systems

In addition to the core systems, Nutribiz invests in other utilities to ensure seamless operations:

    • Electrical System: The factory is equipped with a stable power supply and backup generators to prevent production interruptions. Energy-saving solutions, such as LED lighting and high-efficiency motors, are implemented to reduce electricity consumption.

    • Cooling System: Water- and air-based cooling systems maintain stable temperatures for production equipment and storage areas, particularly during processes like rapid cooling after UHT sterilization.

    • Compressed Air System: Clean compressed air is used to operate automated valves, filling machines, and other equipment, ensuring no contamination of products.

  6. Integration of Technology and Automation

Nutribiz’s auxiliary systems are integrated with advanced automation technologies to optimize efficiency and ensure quality.

    • PLC Control System: The water supply, wastewater treatment, and boiler systems are monitored and controlled via Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), optimizing operations and enabling early detection of issues.

    • Smart Sensors: Sensors monitor water flow, steam pressure, and wastewater quality, ensuring stable performance and compliance with technical standards.

    • Predictive Maintenance: Nutribiz uses data analytics to predict maintenance needs, minimizing downtime and reducing repair costs.

  7. Commitment to Sustainability

Nutribiz’s auxiliary systems reflect the company’s commitment to sustainable development:

    • Environmental Impact Reduction: The use of biomass boilers, water reuse, and compliant wastewater treatment minimizes carbon emissions and protects water resources.

    • Resource Efficiency: Energy and water optimization measures reduce operational costs and conserve natural resources.

    • Regulatory Compliance: The auxiliary systems are designed and operated in accordance with ISO 14001 (environmental management) and Vietnam’s environmental regulations.

  8. Conclusion

The auxiliary systems at Nutribiz’s factory, encompassing water supply, wastewater treatment, boiler systems, and other utilities, form the backbone of efficient, safe, and sustainable dairy production. With advanced technology, integrated automation, and a commitment to environmental stewardship, Nutribiz not only ensures high-quality products but also contributes to a greener future, solidifying its position as a leading dairy brand.
